Spherion has an exciting immediate need for a Qualified VP of Sales and Operations role with a fun and fast growing retail organization!

The successful candidate must be eager to visit locations regularly, must be proficient with teambuilding and communication, and must adapt and improve the business on an ongoing basis, based upon observations and metrics. Critically, the successful candidate must have experience with and be driven to play a major role in our expansion to new locations and territories.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Developing and adapting a strategy of best-practice standards and policies for each store, and ensuring that all staff are trained, familiar and adhering to such standards and policies.
  • Maintaining ongoing, motivating and efficient communication on the macro and micro levels to direct retail associates, managers, district managers and Directors to operationalize new field programs and field execution standards across training, merchandising, assisted selling, customer experience, and product launches.
  • Manage third-party vendors related to footprint expansion and buildout, onboarding, contracting, budgeting, and performance management.
  • Maintaining an ongoing physical presence among the stores.
  • Designing semi-permanent as well as temporary layouts of store merchandise based upon best-practice strategy as well as the nuances of our particular industry, brand and customer.
  • Managing costs on an ongoing basis by performing inventory, labor, shrinkage and operational analysis.
  • Prepare timely inventory, sales, operational, and payroll forecasting/budgeting while reviewing/interpreting financial reports to ensure optimal sales performance and profits by door
  • Identifying underperforming metrics and generating strategic solutions that leverage existing tools, programs, and resources.
  • Attract, hire, train, coach, develop, and retain a diverse team of top talent while enhancing employee engagement by fostering a high-performance environment that inspires and encourages.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and drive consistent brand messaging and experiences through continuous training, incentives and other in-store and out-ofstore tactics.

Requirements:

  • Optimism, a motivating presence, strong work ethic, and mission-driven mindset
  • At least 10 years of experience in strategy, operations, and consumer-facing roles
  • At least 10 years of experience building, scaling, and driving successful teams within multi-state, multi-district retail operation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to motivate and teach leaders to succeed
  • Experience drafting manuals and setting operational standards
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Visual merchandising background
  • Ability to work with leaders to maintain consistency across all stores
  • Highly analytical background

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field required
  • Master’s degree in Business Management or related field preferred

Pay: $135,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
